CAROLE WESTERMAN
Carole began her yoga journey in 1998 while living in Northern California, exploring many styles of yoga including Iyengar, Kundalini, Vinyasa, Bikram, Sivananda, and Viniyoga. She immediately fell in love with yoga and practiced through her pregnancies, helping her to bring 3 lovely daughters into the world. Balancing motherhood, family, and the demands of life is the ultimate yoga for her. Carole's strength is providing yoga to varying populations in a fun, creative, light-hearted, and spontaneous environment that is accepting and nurturing: tailoring the practice to the specific needs of the student.
Carole has a Masters Degree in Psychology, and has combined this knowledge with her yoga experience to create her own eclectic style as a yoga instructor. Carole is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500, and is a Prana Flow teacher in the style of Shiva Rea. Carole is also a Childbirth Educator, and is certified to teach prenatal yoga through 3 programs including Gurmukh's Khalsa Way training program & Shiva Rea's Pre/Post Natal Training both located in Los Angeles. Carole is very passionate about empowering women in all facets of their lives, including through the natural cycles of life which may include pregnancy and motherhood. Following this calling, Carole completed Birth Doula training with DONA, and attends several births per year. Carole loves to expand her horizons, and is a lifelong learner. Her recent trainings include studying with Shiva Rea, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Twee Merrigan, Gina Caputo, John Friend, Tias Little, Erich Schiffmann, Deane Juhan, Simon Park, and Mary Pafford.
