Yoga found Xi back in 1999 and since then her relationship with this ancient tradition of self-healing has significantly blossomed and continues to grow in profound ways. Her life experiences, her own yoga practice, and her in-depth study of yoga and Oriental Medicine traditions inform her creative offerings to this community.
Xi believes the purpose of our yoga practice is not only to purify and cleanse the body and mind through physical postures, but to elevate our consciousness so that as yogis we can help the broader human community realize our great potential. She believes in maintaining an expansive view of life's offerings and combines many different modalities in her teaching. She asks us to feed our spirits by looking to art, philosophy, postures and the movement of breath to discover stillness, the great gift waiting to be accepted.
Xi is honored to have had the opportunity to study and learn with skilled teachers such as Shiva Rea (India 2005), Tias Little, Max Strom, Doug Swenson, Kim Schwartz, Bhavani Maki, and David Williams. She looks forward to continuing her exploration and education forever.
Xi's other great offering to the community is Jade Bamboo, a healing arts center for well-being in Mission, Kansas. She owns Jade Bamboo with her husband, Chelton Kleitz, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, who practices classical Japanese acupuncture as well as traditional Chinese medicine. Chelton also performs Kansetsu Inju Do, an ancient art of balancing the body's energy systems through gentle touch and Qi Gong, an ancient method of affecting and directing Qi. (also called prana, life force or chi). Jade Bamboo also has a pharmacy of herbs and carries a custom line of all-natural health and beauty products to promote wellness and longevity. The Kansas Siddhi Yoga West boutique has a sampling of the goodies you can find at Jade Bamboo.
